Evolution Mermaid

The mermaid in this sleeve is a symbol of feminine power and the cradle of life, where it all started on this planet: the depths of the ocean. She is beckoning the viewer into the water like the old legends of the sea sirens who tempted sailors and led them to their watery demise (hence the human skull by her tailfin--not visible here). She has a cold greenish/blue complexion to symbolize her having no mortal soul, and energy vibrations radiating from her head to illustrate the connection to the eternal and the unconscious mind. There is a sunrise behind the tiny island in the distance (visible in detail image) to symbolize the dawning of land-based lifeforms as they evolved out of the ocean.
