click to view large image This sleeve on my friend Mariah took nearly two years to complete due to some long breaks between appointments, but in the end it came together very nicely. The shipwreck is symbolic of hard times and disasters in life, and the sailor girl represents the determination and will to survive through it all. There are some other theme-supporting symbols and subject matter which are explained in the following image captions.
P.S. You wish you could sit as well as this girl did.
